It's that time again...

New Years is right around the corner and we must get ready. Every year we get together with a group of our friends and have a bonfire/camp out at Jamie Mckinley's land. It is so much fun. We have food, a big bonfire, Fireworks, etc... It is something our group looks forward to every year. Well to have all this you must plan ahead and prepare things! So this is exactly what we did this past weekend. We went in the woods! I love it. We cut up some trees... Kevin wouldn't let me use the chainsaw because it was too dangerous, I don't know that the ax is any better, haha! We got muddy, played on the tractor, hung in trees, went snake hunting, and just had an all together great time. I wasn't all play...we did get a big pile of wood accomplished... Bonfire here we come!

December

began with us putting up our Christmas tree... My favorite!

It looks a lot prettier with the lights off and the lights all sparkly!

Next we went on a trip to Georgia, to Lake Lanier, with my parents.... and niece and nephew who got to have breakfast with Santa. It was so pretty and so much fun!

We had a great time Mom and Dad thanks for taking us.
We also got a Christmas gift early from Kevin's parents...

A new dishwasher, Thanks guys, we love it! And Thanks Corey and Shaggy for helping Kevin install it. This past weekend we got to celebrate our very good friend Jeremy's 31st birthday... His mom made us yummy Mexican food. It was a great time of food and celebration! We love you Shaggy!

Wow...

It has been exactly a month since I have blogged. Sorry Guys!!! So much has happened in the last month I have so much to catch up on. First We will Start with Thanksgiving. We had a great time with both our families that day. We ate lots of Turkey and other yummy foods. We also got to see, for the first time, a picture of our future nephew or niece. Jeremy and Karri we are super excited for you guys.

That same weekend we celebrated our niece Rebekah's 3rd birthday. Wow how time flies bye!

November went by so quick and December is now half way over.... I'm ready for Santa! =)

Wow, Time To Catch Up....

The last month has been so busy I haven't had time to blog! After Thunder beach we had to get back to the everyday grind. Working, the gym, church, eat, sleep, repeat, lol! We have had a lot of Celebrating the last month...
First Jeremy's 31st Birthday

Also found out at the party that Jeremy and Karri are expecting their first baby! Yay!

This will be our 6th niece or nephew for Kevin and I. Tammy is due and June with a baby girl so....

UA's Homecoming was last week and so we went to the quad for the parade and some tailgating. Kevin had to work so I went with some family and friends

Kevin and I just got home from a 4 day beach trip. I was so not ready to come home, but life must go on. The water was gorgeous and clear, but full of jelly fish and sting rays. It only rained for about 20 minutes on Saturday night, so we were very happy with the weather. It was a nice time of relaxation. I'm ready to go back already! We did alot....

New Windows...

So today I came home, from work, to my Awesome Husband and the wonderful surprise he gave me!!! A vacuumed house and edging around my windows!!!!! Yay! Something I have wanted since we moved in! Woohoo!

The last month...

has been soooo busy I haven't had time to blog but here is a recap....The second weekend in July we went riding on seadoo's.... I was a scared, but Kevin and his adventurous self absolutely loved it!

Then the next weekend we went fishing. I LOVE FISHING! We didn't catch a thing but it was so much fun to be together, relaxing and just enjoying God's creation!!

This past Friday we went to a Baron's game with Jeremy and Karri. It was so much fun. They had a fireworks show afterwards which was one of the best ones I have ever seen. Baron's won 1-0 lol

Then Saturday we went to the local Rodeo! Yeehaw!

4TH OF JULY

This past weekend we went to Smith Lake with a bunch of friends. We had such a great time swimming, intertubing, riding the boat, watching the fireworks and many other things. The boys went crazy with fire and fireworks. It was such an Awesome time...

Birthday fun!

This past week I spent many days celebrating my 26th birthday!!!

It all began Saturday night with all my family and friends going to Kobe Steakhouse to eat. It was sooo good and we had the best chef ever. He did so many new tricks and it was Awesome!

Afterwards we came back to our house for cake, presents and games.

Sunday we celebrated Bethany's 27th birthday at Momma and Daddy's house. All the family came and it was the usual Todd Fun! =)

Today we went to the Playhouse and celebrated Brock's 5th Birthday. He is growing up way to fast. I cannot believe it!

Kevin and I had a great time at both parties! It's crazy how time flies bye. We love our families so much...

It's been 3 years

Thursday was our 3 year Anniversary...

We decided to go to Cypress Inn for dinner and it was yummy as always!

Then we went to go see The Hangover. It was very funny!!!

It's crazy to think we have been married for three years. I love being married to Kevin and can't wait for the next 100 years. I love you Baby!

Anniversary Beach Trip

Our 3 year Anniversary is on Thursday. I cannot believe how time flies bye. So for our Anniversary we decided to go to the Beach. Omgosh we had an Awesome time. The weather was beautiful, and the water was clear. Friday we checked in and went to the beach. Then we went to The Hangout and ate, yummy! After we ate we played mini golf. It was alot of fun. I haven't played in years. Saturday We spent most of the day on the beach. Then we went to eat, shop and then ride go karts. So we get to the top of the ramp thingy and our kart stops. I was so scared lol. All the go karts where flying by, and scare me to death. So we got to go twice. It was crazy!
Sunday, sadly, was our last day at the beach. It was such a fun relaxing day. We crashed in the waves, walked on the beach, laid out, saw tons of stingrays, and just had an Awesome time...

Rainy Weekend

We went to the lake this past weekend to celebrate Kevin's birthday but it rained the whole time. We got a few minutes of water time but not much. We still had a good time though.

Kevin is working so hard to get our deck built. I got to use the nail gun and the skill saw today, yay! =) I can't believe we are finally building the deck, it's seems like we have been talking about it together...

It's hard to see in the picture but on the left are some small plates that say Faith, Family, Friends, and Fellowship. So cute and then on the right are two frames one says friends and the other says family! I love them!!!!

I got these fun vases that will go on top of the entertainment center tomorrow after the cable is hooked back up. Since I moved the entertainment center Shaggy has to rewire our cable, so we will have it again tomorrow!I also redecorated the living room I moved everything. It is a much better set up! I love it!!!!

The Deck has begun...

Kevin Started work on our new deck today!

Our Awesome friend Jamie McKinley came over to help. What great friends we have.

They got all the post in which was an all day project. Digging and smoothing out dirt, drilling holes in the cement to mount the house boards, digging post holes, etc... I'm so excited in just a few weeks I will have an Awesome deck to layout on! Woohoo!

Night Ridin:

The group went out on the boat last night. Oh my gosh... It was so much fun! We had a blast. We stayed out there until around 2am. It was so peaceful.

Weekends Recap...

Kevin and I started our weekend on Friday night with a Fabulous!!! Date night. We went to Jim'n'Nicks in Birmingham for dinner and walked around the galleria. Saturday morning we went to Walking with Dinosaurs at the BJCC. It was Awesome!!!
Then we headed to Gulf Shores.... When we got there is was a little chilly, but not too bad. We had a great sunset walk on the beach. Then we went to eat at The Hangout. Kevin finally got his fresh peel and eat Shrimp he has been talking about for months...

The next morning, we get to an overcast sky with a little bit of disappointment. So we take our time getting ready and then head for Breakfast...

and we go walk on the beach and about 30 minutes later the beautiful sun comes out!!!

We had such an Awesome trip. A great time rekindling our relationship! We came home a little closer, and a little bit burned... hehe! Can't wait to go back for our Anniversary!

Where have we been?

Realizing I haven't posted anything in awhile... We've been so usy I haven't even thought about posting. I figured I would make an update on the events of the last few weeks, days, whatever.... No pics *sigh*.....

April Fools! I'm so kidding! Haha I can officially say that because it is 12:35 on April 1st 2009!

Lots of Spring Cleaning happened this weekend... Kevin spent the majority of the weekend tearing up our concrete slab/patio in the backyard, so he could start building a deck.... Wow was it hard work. He had the help of Peyton and Michael, and they all worked really hard, sawing, breaking, loading, dumping, tilling, etc... yay for decks!!! I am very excited to have a nice lay out spot without grass and bugs and other creatures crawling on me! And a nice beautiful place to entertain guest!
I unlike my previous post did actually work, lol! I cleaned out my closet and jewelry drawers, gotta rid of lots of clothing that were wayyyy to big, yay me! those of u who actually know me, know I have been dieting since the last week of December, 22lbs lost so far... Anyways that's a totally separate blog. Ummm back to the point. I mean lots of spring cleaning I dusted the stinking ceiling fans which i hate doing b/c i have to drag a chair over to stand in. Hmm what else... scrubbed the shower, and I mean scrubbed. not our usual spray and wipe down, SCRUBBED, and the floors along with it, cleaned out the entertainment center and found things i never new i had. This along with all the other house chores plus extra! I love this time of year!

It's Spring.... It's raining of course, but April Showers bring May flowers that bring long June hours! yay! I love it! We went for a walk tonight after dinner. It was fun to get out of the house between the rain, and enjoy the outdoors. Kevin was supposed to have his first softball game of this season tonight but of course it got rained out. We will try again on Thursday! yay for ball season! =) Well more updates to come. Lots of events coming up very soon!

Christmas 2008

A few pics from Christmas Day. I took over 200 pictures from Christmas with the Jones and the Todd's but these are just a few of the two of us! (If u would like to see more check out my facebook.) We had a great 2 Christmas Day's. Kevin and I spent Christmas Eve with the Jones Family, and then we spent Christmas day with the Todd Family. Both of these days were filled with love, memories, and gifts of course, haha! Actually we did focus on Jesus and the "REAL" meaning of Christmas. Brock made a Birthday cake for Jesus and we sang Happy Birthday to Jesus! Brock and Ava blew out the candles for him =). It was really cute! We missed Leah's first Christmas sadly. She was in the hospital. Thankfully she got out on Christmas Eve and they got to have her first Christmas morning at home. Bekah was alot of fun this Christmas too. She just turned two, so she kind of understood what was going on and was excited to open her gifts. So many things went on these past two days, and it was very busy! But I think this has been the best Christmas we have had since getting married. I love this time of year! It will be here again before we know it. So for one more time this year,

Christmas Traditions:

Even though this is only our 3rd Christmas together as a married couple. We have started a tradition of going to Callway Gardens for the Fantasy in Lights show. It is so good, I could have added the 47 pictures I took. I love it, even though it is the same thing every year. I love the fact they do recognize Christmas as being the celebration of Jesus' birth, and do the Santa part also. I can't wait for one day to take our Children there. I love our little family now, and can't wait to build more family traditions in the future!!! Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Our Christmas...

Tonight we had our Christmas.... Every year Kevin and I pick a day to swap our gifts to each other and just have time together. It gets so crazy this time of year b/c we have to be at so many places on Christmas eve and day, that we don't get our one on one time to just be together. Don't get us wrong we love spending time with our families, but we decided our First year of marriage we would pick a day each Christmas Season and have what we call "our Christmas". So tonight was that night, then tomorrow we will be going to Callaway Gardens for their Christmas lights show. It was so much fun just to be together and open gifts. I got Kevin a Phone caddy thingy, so all his stuff wouldn't be all over the kitchen cabinets, so really it was for me, lol. I also got him a Walmart gift card, and a gun he had been wanting.

He gave me money, earrings, a nice coat and Carharts.

I love all my gifts and I know Kevin loves his new gun. Even in this time of gifts and Santa, we still reflect on our Saviour Jesus Christ. He is the Center of our world's and the most important thing to us! We hope u all have a Merry Christmas. Check back next week for more Christmas pics.

The wrapping paper was sitting on the counter with care,

1st Christmas Party of the year....

Tonight we had our first Christmas party with our Co-ed bible study group at Michael and Tammy's house. It was so much fun. We have a ton of yummy food. It was Tammy's first time to make a Roast and she did an Awesome job. It was so delicious. Everyone else brought lots of yummy food also. We played dirty Santa and Kevin and I came home with a new frame and a gift card to Walmart. Woohoo! It was just a great time of fun and fellowship with some great friends...

What a Weekend!

Thursday night was Karri's Bachelorette Party. It was so much fun. We had Chili and yummy treats. Lots of games, and a scavenger hunt.

Friday night we had wedding rehearsal at the church then a yummy dinner at FIG. It was an emotional, fun night. We were so excited and ready for the Wedding... Then Saturday was the wedding. Karri looked Beautiful. The wedding was great. Few tears, but happy ones. Happy for Jeremy, HE is finally MARRIED! We are so excited to Have Karri as apart of our family!

I love this time of year. I love the time we take to be with family and all the fun activities. I have enjoyed building our own Christmas traditions the last 3 years with Kevin. I love our little family and all the exciting things we do.

Even after a hard 12 hour day at work he came home and helped me with the Tree. He is the best husband ever! I love our Tree. It looks better with the lights turned on but it looked all blurry and I couldn't get a good pic!

MUSIC BUILDS TOUR

Thursday nigth we got the opportunity to go to the Music Builds Tour in Birmingham. We had such and awesome time with all our friends. We got to see Jars of Clay, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Switchfoot, and Third Day! They rocked!

Wednesday night was Jeremy's birthday! He's 30!!!!

We had a great time at his party. We all ate some yummy Italian at Mr. G's then back t the Todd's house for yummmmmyyy Knock me knacked cake. Mom makes the best!

Can't believe he is 30. Wow we are all getting old. Seems like yesterday we were playing Lego's barbies and hot wheel cars.

BAMA beat Tulane 20-6 yesterday!!!! Roll Tide Roll....We had a great time Tailgating yesterday. We are both really sore from all the walking we did yesterday. Can't wait to do it again next Saturday!

Double Date Fun

Friday night was a great night. Kevin and I went on a double date with Mary and Kevin, and Ava too. We had such a great time. Ava was so cute. She mimicked everything we did. She was the cutest thing.

That is what we sang all weekend. On the other hand we had a great weekend at the Lake. It rained off and on all weekend. Even though it rained, we still swam in the lake, road the boat, had bonfires, made s'more, cooked out, threw eggs, and sang I Know I know I know I know I know I know x 27, lol. Inside joke for all of us who went on the trip, lol! We love our Lake weekends and hope to have many more to come...

Tannehill Trade Days

Today we went to Tannehill Trade Days with the Todd's and had a ton of fun. We Rode the train, shopped at the tents, ate yummy boiled peanuts, and burned up in the sun. It was a great day with the Family!!! Definitely will have to go back.

Summer is Over!

Summer if officially over. I (Heather) started work back today after having all summer off. Wooohooo! I have an awesome class. My first day back was great. It flew bye , I can't believe it is over. It's gonna be a great school year and next summer will be here before we know it. This is me on the way out the door in my hotttt new shirt!

Megan Abernathy is finally 22 woohoo!!! We had a great time at her party last night. We all went to wings, then came back to our house. We made Cookies, and home maid ice cream, played signs and guitar hero. It was so much fun. 1:30 am rolled around and we didn't even realize it. Time flies when your having fun. What a great night!!!!

Movie Night

Racing

Wow, what a fun night... We went to Holiday Beach raceway so Kevin could race his motorcycle. He did Awesome. Then it began to lightning and so they cancelled the race. We hurried home and it rained hard... Kevin got soaked, poor guy. Thankfully I was safe and dry in the car, lol. Even though it rained the few minutes we had at the race was fun.

What a Weekend!

We have had a very busy weekend....

Friday night we went to see "The Dark Night". It was sooo good. Batman Rocks!

Saturday our friend Adam cam home from serving our Country in Iraq. We had a welcome home party for him our friend Kayla's Apartment. We had lots of food, fun and swimming. What a great time...

Later that night we went to eat Mexican at El Rincon then met up with a group of friends and went to see "Step Brothers". Yes our 3rd movie for the week. It was hilarious. Alot of cussing, but it was so freaking funny... I think we are done with the movie theater for awhile though. lol.

Movie Night

Last night was date night and Kevin and I went to see the movie Hancock. When we bought our tickets we got a coupon for free popcorn and a free drink. Well Kevin decided to upgrade it to a large, for just $2 more. Kevin asked for an extra bag so we could split it up, well instead of her just giving us a bag she filled it up too with no charge. So we got a great deal, two large bags of popcorn and a large drink for $2. Granted we couldn't eat it all but $2, who can beat that. We had a great night. Hancock was very good, and we highly recommend it.

Lazy Afternoons

Where has the summer gone? I can't believe that it is the middle of July!!! It has been a busy but lazy summer and I love it! Work starts back for Heather in 3 weeks. Wow the summer is almost gone. Kevin has been so exhausted from work, so every afternoon this past week "we" have taken a nap. I know I know, I'm such a supportive wife. lol! He is gonna kill me, ut I had to post a pic, hehe!

For a few weeks now we have been learning to play tennis. It is so much fun. Kevin has gotten really good at it, and Heather, well she is coming along! lol! I don't have any pics of us playing yet, b/c no one has been there to take any but I will post some soon of our new sport! It's something we can do together as a couple and we absolutely love it!

LATE NIGHT SHENANIGANS

Tonight we went to go see "You Don't Mess With the Zohan". It was really funny. It was awesome to have a night for just the two of us. We had originally planned to go to Holiday beach for the motorcycle races, but it got rained out. So it was nice to just have a sorta date night!

4th of July at Smith Lake

Well the last three days have been some of the funnest... We spent the weekend at our friend Mitchell's lake house. It rained off and on the entire weekend, but the rain didn't stop us from having fun. We went inter-tubing, swam in the lake, played with Pebbles and Scrappy (the dogs), and ate a lot as we always do when we go to the lake. Friday night was 4th of July so we went to the fireworks show on the lake. I have never seen so many boats on the water as far as u could see, down the entire lake were boats. The fireworks were really pretty but nothing beat the next night when the neighbors shot their fireworks. Another milestone was Mary got in the water and also rode on the boat... and I jumped off the boat dock yay!!! It was just an awesome weekend! We cannot wait to go back...

Holiday Beach

Last night Kevin and Peyton went to Holiday Beach Raceway to watch all the motorcycle racing. I decided to stay home and rest. I have been really tired this whole month, just staying so busy and I needed a night off. Anyways, when he came home he said they had a lot of fun. Kevin ran his bike down the track. I will try and get a pic or video of it off his phone. 115... That's all I'm gonna say, haha! Glad I wasn't there to see it. I would have been freaking out. I'm sure it was more but I'm just gonna stick with that number......

BUUUSSSYYY WEEEKKK

WOW what a week we have had. Kevin has been working 12 hour days, we had 3 birthday parties, etc... Below I have posted a few pics of our eventful week... 1st pic is of me and Daddy on Fathers day Edward took. Be Aggressive!

Be Aggressive B.E. Aggressive!!! Lol! It was a fun filled night at Heather B.'s house. We had an Awesome night. The Barger's cooked lots of yummy food, we swam, played volleyball, jumped on the trampoline, etc... It was a awesome night, b/c we hung out with a bunch of people we have never hung out with before. It was great. Heather B, u are the bestest, we love u and cant wait for the next pool party!!!

Kevin is finally playing in the tournament games. Last night was a fun game to watch. They got some awesome plays. Kevin flew a few feet in the air to catch a ball and rolled to a stop, all while holding the ball. It was awesome! He has another game Thursday night at 6:15, so everyone come out and watch. If they lose this game they will be out of the bracket, so they need lots of support coming from the stands! I of course sat in the stands and picked wet sunfloer seeds out of my hair. Flying roaches, grilling steaks, playing signs and guitar hero! What fun! We had an awesome time at Michael and Tammy's house last night. But it also was a sad night, b/c we said goodbye to one of our friends, Jonathan! Jonny Ray we will miss u lots!

2 Year Anniversary

Today is our 2 year Anniversary! Whoot Whoot! I can't believe it's already been 2 years. It feels like just yesterday we were standing at the alter. We can't wait to see what the future holds for us.

Smith Lake

This past weekend was one of the best by far. Our friend Mitchell invited us to come stay at his lake house for the weekend, and it was so much fun. There was no plumbing or utilities so we we roughing it, but it was still great. We played on the lake all day, ate at Jim'N'Nicks, and had two Walmart runs just as any trip should, lol! We just got back from Thunderbeach in PCB. It was so much fun. We went with 10 of our friends and had the best time. To many things to write about so I will just post the pics and let u see for yourself.

Back in Ttown

After a few long months of driving to Greene County everyday to work, Kevin is finally back working in T-town. He is working 7-12's now but at least he doesn't have that 1hr drive there and 1 hr drive back. Yay! It makes me feel much better. I worry too much when he has to drive more then 20 minutes to work. So thank u Lord!!!!!!

Lightning Strike

So this week has been a pretty rough week for me (Heather). I won't go into any details, but rough. God has allowed some things to happen in my life, to get me back on track with him! He has helped me through this time, and made me realize I need Him more then anything. Life lets just put it plainly: Sucks. I can't wait for the day when I get to bask in our Saviours glory for eternity. I can't wait to sit at His feet and Praise Him forever. He is everything!

Celebrating Jonathan's Birthday

Last night was a lot of fun. All our friends went to Birmingham to eat at Macaroni Grill for our friend Jonathan's Birthday. It was a lot of fun. Then we came back to ttown and went bowling for a few hours. By the time we got through it was about 1am and we all were hungry again so we went to Waffle House and ate. lol! So much fun!

So, last night was so much fun. Our group went to eat at Hokkaido, yummmy! It was so good. Then we came back to the house for game night. We had a guitar hero tournament, played the bowl game, and signs. We went down the strip at 2:30 looking for Michael but he was taking someone to the jail, so we went and rolled Jonathan's car. It was so freaking funny. Jonathan never saw his car though, b/c the apartment maintenance people cleaned it up before he even saw it! Below are a few pics from last night. Rock -n- Roll

It was weird to be home on a Friday night, but was great at the same time. Brock spent the night with us tonight. After he went to sleep Amanda came over and we played guitar hero. Well they did and I watched. It was just a fun laid back night!

Softball Begins

Kevin's first softball game was last night, due to the fact that Tuesday nights game got rained out. They lost but it's OK, they are gonna make a come back. Below I posted a few pics. Tonight is Date night. Yay, I cant wait for Kevin to get home. I'm gonna make some yummy shrimp for dinner! Don't know what else we are gonna do. Probably go riding b/c its supposed to rain all week! Softball begins tomorrow if it doesn't rain! I can't believe it, seemed like just last week we were at the ball park! Well that's it for now, will write more later!

Ava came over last night and brought her new duck... I think the guys had more fun then Ava! lol! It was so cute!

Every Thursday night all the girls get together for girls nights and all the boys get together and play cards. It's alot of fun spending time with the girls, and I'm sure the guys have fun too being away from the girls. Tonight it was just me Heather and Haley, so we did a bunch of nothing. But it sure was fun. Love u girls. Now I'm ready for Kevin to get home and snuggle. =) As much fun as I have with the girls there is nothing like coming home to my wonderful husband!!!

Us in a nut shell

I wish I would have started this forever ago, but better late then never. Kevin and I got married almost two years ago and so many thing have happened since then. Life is great. We have had our ups and downs. We've been through sickness, happy times, sad times, and everything in between. But overall our life together has been wonderful. I give all the credit up to our Lord! I started this blog as basically like a journal for myself. To write down things I may not remember a year from now.
Here, I will speed you up to now. Kevin and I have been together almost 11 years. Wow I cant believe it. Kevin is an electrician and I am a PreK teacher. I think we both really enjoy our jobs, neither one of us wants to work, but who really does. Right now we are going to First Wesleyan and love it. We have met some wonderful people there and cant wait to grow with them. No kids yet. Hopefully gonna work on that this summer! ;) We both have wonderful parents, a ton of great brothers and sisters and 2 beautiful nieces and a very cute nephew, and another niece or nephew due in November! I'm so ready to see our family grow even more. What else??? Kevin still in the gym almost everyday. I need to be, but u know. lol. I guess that's about it up to this point. Basically here is our life in a nutshell: Church, sleep, work, gym, sleep, then repeat. Lol! Maybe I will journal some more exciting things soon! =)
